A Russian Winter Landscape

As we know, we in Russia adore winter sports, especially skiing. There is nothing better than to glide along a path in the blazing winter sunshine, cutting through the luxurious soft snows, catching the glimpses of winter magic.

I am so grateful to my close and dear people for helping me to bring interesting things to you. A few years ago I have already said thank you to my mother who helped me a lot with scanning pictures in Moscow, while I was in Manchester. This time my thankyou goes to my father who’s been out skiing and sent the photos. I decided to simply show the photos, without much talk, because there should be a separate post about our winters. The climate change is more palpable than ever, the effects thereof being felt in England and in Russia. But for now let’s take things at face value and enjoy the splendid Russian winter landscape.

Note: This is only the WINTER Russian landscape. As you may know, in summer it gets so hot those trees sometimes are quite literally burnt by the sun.
