Gone are the days when the snow steadily covered the ground in November. This year it was so warm throughout October that the first day of November also treated us with excellent weather and glorious sunshine.
And although they do forecast snowfalls and minus temperatures starting Wednesday, the autumn of 2026 is bound to be remembered for its exceptional warmth.
The trees have largely lost their leaves and are now standing ready to be covered with snow. There was some noticeable frost on the grass this morning. And of course, I have extracted my winter pullovers and sweaters and am ready to wrap up well.
So, enjoy these October photos – and a few November ones!
